Minnesota Thermal Science provides innovative, scientific solutions both domestically and abroad for the safe transportation of sensitive pharmaceutical, blood and biologic products.
Wholly committed to excellence, innovation, customer focus and corporate integrity, Minnesota Thermal Science was founded in response to an industry-wide search by the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research for a more effective combat-environment thermal container. Existing solutions had been ill-suited to the task of keeping critical blood supplies safe for extended time periods in the extreme environments encountered in Afghanistan. The solution, the Original Golden Hour® Container, saved countless lives and was considered so revolutionary that it was recognized with the U.S. Army’s Greatest Inventions Award.
The company has continued to apply its technology to develop additional products and services that have positioned it as a leader in the cold-chain industry. Providing unprecedented protection for temperature-sensitive products from minus 50 to 22°C, the technology has been validated as industry standard by such high-profile organizations as Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, U.S. Special Forces, British Ministry of Defense, America’s Blood Centers and many others throughout the pharmaceutical, biologics and blood industries.
Minnesota Thermal Science’s technologically sophisticated solutions lead the industry in product innovation and performance. Most recently, MTS launched the Credo Series 4–2168 container which consistently transports and maintains 2-8°C for up to seven days in extreme ambient temperatures – longer than any product on the market. As with all Credo products, the Series 4-2168 is reusable and environmentally friendly, and it delivers strong return on investment.
Minnesota Thermal Science serves clients worldwide from its offices in Plymouth, Minnesota. Corporate facilities encompass a full-service ISTA-certified, high-precision thermal testing laboratory; as well as a manufacturing, warehouse and product development complex. The laboratory, which was recently expanded, features state-of-the-art calibrated environmental chambers and data acquisition systems. On-site testing means engineers continuously refine Credo solutions to ensure the highest levels of thermal precision. In addition, Minnesota Thermal Science designs and executes thermal validation tests for specific customer shipping environments, durations and payloads.
